Sharon Smart RN, IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), works with breastfeeding mothers at the Birthplace at GMH. She sees mothers in the hospital and then has the mother and baby return for a follow-up weight check and re-assessment of the breastfeeding. Sharon is available for any breastfeeding related questions. Women who have delivered elsewhere are welcome to call for a phone consultation.
The Birthplace at GMH offers childbirth and breastfeeding classes to all expectant couples.
The weekly breastfeeding mothers group is open to all breastfeeding mothers. The group meets every
Tuesday, 10:30 AM at the Birthplace at GMH.
